About
Kaicheng Zhao is a Visiting PhD Student in the Health Data Science and Intelligence (HDSci) Lab at the University of Oxford. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Osaka, Japan. His research focuses on multimodal learning and agent-based artificial intelligence for pathological analysis and clinical risk assessment. In parallel, his doctoral research at Osaka University explores deep learning- and reinforcement learning-based control algorithms for bio-hybrid robotic systems.
Kaicheng obtained his master's degree in Robotic Systems Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. During his master's studies, he worked as a Computer Vision Research Engineer at the Center for Brain-Inspired Computing Research, Tsinghua University, China. He completed his master's thesis at the Center for Digital Health Interventions, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, where his research focused on deep learning-based detection and classification of pathological voice disorders.
Research Interests
Kaicheng's research interests include multimodal learning, agent-based artificial intelligence, computer vision, pathological image analysis, clinical risk assessment, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and bio-hybrid robotic systems.
