New Members Recruiting

We are currently seeking public contributors and patient partners with lived experience of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection to join our Public & Patient Involvement activities.

We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds who are interested in contributing to research on HBV, liver disease, health literacy, and artificial intelligence in healthcare.

Contributors may be involved in:

• Providing feedback on research ideas and study design
• Improving patient-facing materials and communication
• Advising on priorities and research relevance
• Participating in meetings and workshops
• Supporting public engagement and dissemination activities

Current Involvement Activities

Our current PPI activities focus on ensuring that research in HBV, liver disease, and health data science reflects the needs, perspectives, and priorities of patients and the public.

• Public involvement in AI and machine learning research in chronic hepatitis B
• Engagement activities related to health literacy and AI-supported healthcare communication
• Discussions on responsible and trustworthy use of artificial intelligence in healthcare

Our Approach

We aim to involve patients and the public throughout the research lifecycle, including study design, implementation, interpretation, and dissemination.

By working collaboratively with communities and patient partners, we strive to make our research more inclusive, relevant, accessible, and impactful.
